Rueda de Casino is a group form of Salsa – it’s danced to Salsa music (also: commonly to Timba music). It is danced in a circle made of a number of different couples, one of the dancers is a “caller”, who signals the next move. Then all the couples dance the same move at the same time. Some of the moves are among each couple individually, some are “group moves”, and some include changing partners (which happens quite frequently). It’s fun, it’s fast paced, it’s very social; we love it.
We have five practices every week in the Cambridge area, including a newcomers class on Wednesday evenings. Please check our practices page or join our mailing list for more information. No partner or prior experience needed.
